Recruiting locally is what we do
We currently employ more than 250 people in our seven trading Premier Inn and hub by Premier Inn hotels in Westminster. Two thirds of the team members in our Westminster hotels work full-time and 40% have been working for us for more than twelve months.
All of the teams working in Premier Inn and hub by Premier hotels are employed directly by Whitbread and are permanent employees. We do not offer zero hours contracts.
We recruit directly and have established relationships with the Job Centre Plus and Westminster Employment Service.
Whitbread is also signed up to Westminster Council’s Westminster Works pledge. Our approach at 5 Strand will be the same – we will promote the vacancies to residents of Westminster and other central London boroughs through all available channels.
Once with us, we work hard to keep our people by investing in their training and development – including through structured apprenticeship programmes – and by offering a pathway to team leader and management positions.
All training is undertaken directly by Whitbread’s own in-house teams and select external partners and we have won many awards for our approach to creating an equal and inclusive workplace.
